Nawaz Ukani is an attorney and Certified Public Accountant with a career grounded in tax, business, and estate planning. He has practiced law since 2013 and has been a CPA since 2005.  His work experience spans a broad range of legal and financial matters, including tax strategy, business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, probate, and executive compensation, giving him a holistic understanding of the issues closely held businesses face at every stage of growth and transition.

Focused Expertise in ESOP Trustee Services

Nawaz’s practice is focused on Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs). He has worked extensively on ESOP matters, including establishing new ESOPs, guiding companies through transitions from minority to 100% ESOP ownership, and advising on the sale or merger of ESOP-owned companies, as well as ESOP terminations.

Nawaz’s combined legal and financial background allows him to make informed, defensible decisions with clarity and confidence that protect plan participants, comply with regulatory standards and fulfill his fiduciary responsibilities as the ESOP trustee.

He earned his Masters in Taxation from the University of North Texas and his Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
